E-commerce Software – Shopify
Our webshop is built using Shopify software. The personal data you provide to us is shared with Shopify. This party offers technical support and has access to data only when necessary. Shopify applies appropriate security measures, such as SSL encryption and a strict password policy. Data may be processed in the United States, in compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Email and Mailing Lists – Klaviyo
For our email communication and newsletters, we use Klaviyo. Your email address, name, and purchase history may be stored within this platform to send you relevant content. Klaviyo processes your data solely on behalf of World Of Alps and does not use it for its own purposes. Every email contains a clear unsubscribe link.
Payment Processing – iDEAL, Shopify Payments, Credit Cards, and Klarna
To process payments in our webshop, we use several payment methods, including iDEAL, credit cards (via Shopify Payments), and Klarna (pay later).

Shopify Payments processes transactions via iDEAL and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.). This payment provider stores your payment details in accordance with the strictest security standards (such as PCI DSS).

Klarna offers pay-later options and conducts a creditworthiness check in this process. Klarna processes personal data such as name, address details, phone number, and payment history. More information can be found on Klarna’s website.
All mentioned parties take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Your data will only be used to process payments and not for commercial purposes.
Reviews – Trustpilot
We collect reviews through Trustpilot. If you leave a review, we share your name and email address with Trustpilot so they can verify your identity and contact you if necessary. Trustpilot applies security measures to protect your data.
Shipping and Logistics – DHL, PostNL, DPD, GLS
To ship orders, we use multiple carriers: DHL, PostNL, DPD, and GLS. For this purpose, we share data such as your name, address, and city with these parties. This data is used solely for delivery and not for other purposes.
Invoicing and Accounting – Exact Online
For our financial administration, we use Exact Online. Your personal data, such as name, address, and invoice details, are shared with this software to maintain accurate bookkeeping. Exact treats this data confidentially and does not use it for its own purposes.
Automatically Collected Data
When visiting our website, certain data is automatically collected, such as your IP address, browser information, and click behavior. This data is used to improve our website and user experience. When such data can be traced to an individual, we treat it as personal data under the GDPR.
Cookies
We use cookies for technical functionality, analytical purposes, and (with consent) marketing purposes.
Google Analytics is used to analyze visitor behavior. IP addresses are anonymized before processing.

Previous versions of this policy become invalid once a new version is published. Shopify
Our webshop is developed using Shopify's software. The personal data you provide to us is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with technical support but will never use it for other purposes. Under the agreement we have with them, Shopify is required to take appropriate security measures, including SSL encryption and a strict password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information about your use of the software, but no personal data is collected or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its group of companies to further improve its services. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, and your data may be processed in the United States.
Email and Mailing Lists
Klaviyo
EXAMPLE: Our website uses Klaviyo, a third party that handles our website’s email traffic and newsletter delivery. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent via Klaviyo's servers. Klaviyo will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of each email sent automatically from our website, you will see an "unsubscribe link." Click on this to stop receiving further emails from our website. However, this may limit the website's functionality. Your personal data is securely stored by Klaviyo. Klaviyo uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. Klaviyo reserves the right to use your data to improve its services and share it with third parties for this purpose.
Outlook
We use Outlook for our regular business email communications. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Outlook does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat our email traffic confidentially.
Payment Processing
iDeal
EXAMPLE: For part of the payments in our webshop, we use the iDeal platform. iDeal processes your name, address, place of residence, and payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. iDeal has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. iDeal reserves the right to use your data to improve its services further and share anonymized data with third parties for this purpose. If you request a deferred payment (credit facility), iDeal shares personal data and information related to your financial situation with credit rating agencies. All previously mentioned safeguards concerning the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of iDeal's service for which they engage third parties. iDeal does not store your data longer than is legally permitted.
Reviews
Trustpilot
We collect reviews through Trustpilot. When you leave a review via Trustpilot, you are required to provide your name and email address. Trustpilot shares this information with us, allowing us to link the review to your order. Trustpilot also publishes your name on its website. In some cases, Trustpilot may contact you for further clarification on your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with Trustpilot, who uses this information solely to invite you to leave a review. Trustpilot has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Trustpilot reserves the right to involve third parties in providing its services. We have given Trustpilot permission to do so. All previously mentioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data apply to the parts of the service for which Trustpilot engages third parties.
Shipping and Logistics
DHL
When you place an order with us, it is our duty to deliver your package to you. We use DHL’s services for deliveries. For this purpose, we must share your name, address, and place of residence with DHL. DHL only uses this data to fulfill the agreement. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL will also make your data available to these parties.
GLS
When you place an order with us, it is our duty to deliver your package to you. We use GLS’s services for deliveries. For this purpose, we must share your name, address, and place of residence with GLS. GLS only uses this data to fulfill the agreement. In the event that GLS engages subcontractors, GLS will also make your data available to these parties.
Billing and Accounting
Exact Online
EXAMPLE: We use [PROVIDER]’s services to keep our administration and accounting. We share your name, address, place of residence, and order details with this provider. This information is used for sales invoice administration. Your personal data is securely transmitted and stored. [PROVIDER] is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. External Sales Channels
General Purpose of Processing
We use your data solely for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you give us. Retention Periods
We retain your data as long as you are a client with us. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you make this request, we will consider it as a forget request. This means that we will retain your data for up to two years after the last contact or transaction unless a legal obligation requires a longer retention period. Based on legal administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data. However, employees will no longer have access to your customer profile and documents once the service has been terminated.
Your Rights
Under Dutch and European law, you, as the data subject, have certain rights concerning the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. To prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to your email address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at another email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of processed requests, and in the case of a forget request, we keep anonymized data. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are unlawfully processing your personal data.

You always have the right to view the data we process and which relates to you personally. You can submit a request to our privacy officer. Within 30 days, you will receive a response to your request. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all the data, along with a list of the processors who hold that data.

Within 30 days, you will receive a response to your request. If your request is granted, you will receive confirmation that the data has been corrected.
Right to Restrict Processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we process. You can submit a request to our privacy officer. Within 30 days, you will receive a response to your request. If your request is granted, you will receive confirmation that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to Data Portability
You always have the right to have the data we process and which relates to you personally transferred to another party. You can submit a request to our privacy officer. Within 30 days, you will receive a response to your request. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all the data we have processed about you or that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing services to you, as the secure linkage of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to Object
In some cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by World of Alps. If you object, we will immediately stop processing your data pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will provide you with copies of the data we are processing and then stop processing it permanently. You also have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a way that this right applies. Google Analytics
Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be legally obliged to provide access to this data. We collect information about your browsing behavior and share it with Google. Google can interpret this information along with other datasets and thereby track your movements on the internet. Google uses this information to provide targeted advertisements (AdWords) and other Google services and products.
